- 3,190 tons of 1" base course gravel, Specs based on US Dept of Trans-Fed Hwy Admin-Standard Spec for Const of Roads and Bridges on Fed Hwy Projects-FP-03-703.06 Crushed Aggregate: Furnish hard, durable particles or fragments of crushed stone or gravel conforming to the size and quality requirements for crushed aggregate material normally used locally in the construction and maintenance of highways by Federal and State agencies. Furnish crushed aggregate with a maximum size of 1 inch as determined by AASHTO T 27 and T 11. Furnish crushed aggregate uniformly graded from coarse to fine and free of organic matter, lumps or balls of clay, and other deleterious matter. Delivered and dump spread starting 2.5 miles north of cattle guard on south RT 5 - approx 23 miles northeast of Hot Springs, SD. Approximately 400 tons of this material to be delivered to Beaver Creek Rd west of Hwy 87 to the park boundary. Measurement will be the number of tons delivered and accepted to the nearest tenth of a ton based on certified weight tickets. Payment will be made at the contract unit price. And: Remove approx 650 tons of excavated material which is 75% asphalt and 25% mixed soil, large rocks and some small pieces of concrete. Contractor will be responsible to load material. This material is located at the mixing circle area at Wind Cave National Park. Measurement will be the number of tons removed to the nearest tenth of a ton based on certified weight tickets. Payment will be made at the contract unit price. Work to be completed no later than July 28, 2006. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This acquisition is unrestricted, both large and small businesses may bid. Product and Service Code: 5610, NAICS Code: 212321, small business size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation will be available on the Department of the Interior (DOI) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov O/A June 9, 2006 and will close on June 20, 2006 at 04:30 pm MST, unless extensions are issued in an amendment.
