- The solicitation for this project will be available in electronic format only and will be available for download on or about 27 June 06 on the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) website at https://fedteds.gov. This system has replaced the Al aska District Electronic Bid Sets (EBS) website. In order to view the solicitation, interested firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov and in FedTeDS. In order to register for FedTeDS, a vendor or contractor must have the following information: Your Companys Central Contract Registration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) (You can get this from your Companys CCR Point of Contact or from the CCR website.); Your Companys DUNS Number or CAGE Code; Your Telephone Number; and Your E-Mail Address. Once you have this information you register in FedTeDS by clicking on the Register with FedTeDS link on the home page. The solicitation shall be issued on a competitive proposal basis per FAR 19.8 an d Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(a)). This competition is restricted geographically to Region 10 (to include Alaska, Washington, Idaho and Oregon). All 8(a) certified firms serviced by the Alaska SBA District Office and all 8(a) cer tified firms with a bonafide place of business in Region 10 are deemed eligible to submit offers. Competition will not be restricted by stage of 8(a) program participation. Any resulting contract will be firm-fixed priced. The Davis-Bacon Act will apply. All responders are advised that this project may be canceled or revised at any time during the solicitation, selection, evaluation, negotiation and final award. Process based on decisions related to DoD Changes and disposition of the Armed Services. The g overnment shall not be responsible for bid preparation costs in the event the solicitation is canceled. All contractors are advised that they must be registered in CCR and ORCA (http://orca.bpn.gov). The requirement for the submission of both Performance a nd Payment Bonds, in an amount equivalent to 100% of the award price, shall be applicable; therefore the successful 8(a) firm shall have the capability to acquire such bonding. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Design and construct a 9,400 square foot Information Systems Facility. The project includes administrative space, classroom space, storage for equipment, and space for parking. Facilities include information systems; an energy monit oring and control systems reinforcements, setbacks and reinforced (laminated) glass. Supporting facilities include utilities; electric service; exterior lighting; fire protection and alarm systems; paving, walks, curbs and gutters and parking. In additio n, supporting facilities include the requirement for underground utilidors to protect utilities in arctic climate. Site improvements include: erosion control, storm drainage, and grading and contouring. The Estimated Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
