- I. INTRODUCTION. A. This is a synopsis for a sole source acquisition prepared in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the synopsis only and a solicitation will not be issued. B. The synopsis number is: AMSRDT-AR-1-7206 C. This acquisition is not set aside for small business. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 333512, Machine Tool (Metal Cutting Types) Manufacturing. D. Basis for award A Sole Source award will be made to Viereck Company based on FAR 6.302-1(2) only one responsible source and no other supply will satisfy agency requirements. The existing equipment belongs to Viereck and any additions must be interch angable with the existing equipment. II. GENERAL. A. The United States Army Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) in Warren, Michigan has a requirement for a battery powered transversing unit. B.
