Description

This acquisition is for the following item. Item 0001 NSN: 1730-01-508-3156 RN, P/N: 4000A, NOUN: Rail Type Trailer. Form/Function: To facilitate ease in installation and removal of aircraft engines. The Model 4000 trailer is a four wheel mobile, hydraulically controlled self supporting unit. The hydraulic system consists of four hydraulic cylinders, which raise and lower the frame assembly, four wheel lifting hydraulic cylinders that raise and lower the main frame, two hand pumps that operate the hydraulic fluid supply and connecting lines and fittings. Elevation is from 32 inches and 8 inches with spaces. The maximum load capacity of the trailer is 8,000 pounds. Size/Dimensions: Height: Approx. 32"-84", Width: Approx. 52", Depth: Approx. 152", Pounds: Approx. 2525 lb. Predominant Material of Manufacture: Steel. The basic quantity is one (1) each. There will be Two options for a quantity of one (1) each. Estimated Total Quantity is three (3) each. No technical data is available. Destination: Kirtland AFB NM 87117-5881, Delivery is one (1) each October 2006. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. An RFP will follow.
