- Description
- The USCGC Mackinaw has a requirement for Ratchet Links, drive cylinder, electric pump and hydraulic hoses. This sources sought is being issued to obtain information on what equipment is available on the market. The system that the USCG has reviewed is the TORCUP model. This information is provided as the quality level of the items the USCG is looking for. The USCG will purchase the items as a system, therefore providing information on one item will not be acceptable for consideration for future purchase. The items in the system include: Drive cylinder; and 1 8th in; 1 and 3 16th in; 1 and a half in; 2 and one quarter in; 6 PT Ratchet links; electric pump .5 HP; 30 ft hydraulic hose with coupler; 20 ton lifting ram, 4 port manifold block; Posi check safety valve; 15 ft single line hydraulic hose; HS adapt 1 and a half to 1 in and 1 in to 1 and 13 16th in 6 Pt socket. The salient characteristics for the ratchet links are: aircraft quality steel construction; aluminum bronze friction reduction sleeve; anti corrosion nickel plating; 27 degree torque stroke; 100 percent torque repeatability; 100 percent duty cycle; internal side plate alignment pins; fine tooth index ratchet. W ? 1.63 in; H with cylinder 5.60 in; L with cylinder 7.80 in weight 5.4 ? 7.6 lbs depending on the link. The following characteristics apply to the drive cylinder: aircraft quality steel construction; anti corrosion nickel plating; thread less no drip quick connect couplers; 360 by 360 degree independent steel swivels; one piece drive piston; friction reducing drive sliders; high temp abrasion resistant o-rings; single pin cylinder to link attach release. Same dimensions as above. Weight 6 lbs. The following are the characteristics for the electric pump .5 HP: 3,000 PRM permanent magnet motor; automatic internal pressure relief; 4:1 safety rating (40,000 PSI burst); 10,000 PSI adjustable operating pressure; Max 85 dba under operation; industrial cast aluminum reservoir; 115v 20 amp max draw; 15 ft remote pendent switch; thread less no drip quick couplers.
