Description
This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Combined Synopsis/Solicitation is W912JM-06-T-0004. This is a firm fixed price requirements type contract. 100% Set Aside for small business concerns. The equipment is for emergency responders to train for hazardous material emergencies. Chlorine One Ton Training End The training end is an actual full size end of the standard DOT 106A500X chlorine container, mounted on a support base. The training end is designed to simulate chlorine emergencies and allow hands on practice applying t he chlorine emergency Kit B. Chlorine leaks can be simulated, using a standard garden hose, in the valve and in two of the fusible plugs. With a lifting eye and a set of side handles and is also available with wheels. QTY 3. CHLORINE INSTITUTE EMERGENCY KIT B includes devices and tools to contain leaks in and around the ton container valves and in the side wall of ton containers, US DOT# 106A500X.Kit B does not need a DOT exemptions to transport leaking cylinders, as per CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) 49 subchapter 3 173.3d All items are labeled with a part number, color coded yellow and are stored inside a durable polyethylene tool box.
