Description
This is a solicitation for Radiological Services at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Providence, RI. The selected contractor(s) shall comply with the attached terms, conditions, and statement of work.Rates are to be all insclusive of travel and lodging if applicable. Authority 38 U.S.C. 8153. Copy of Medical Malpractice Insurance required. Multiple awards are anticipated.1.RESPONSIBILITIES:a.Provide interpretation of radiological studies using voice recognition software.b.Provide consultations to other clinical services and other VA facilities. c. Promptly verify all exam reports d.Provide services within the boundaries of clinical privileges, scopes of practice and terms and conditions of the contract.e. Contract radiologist must be qualified by training and experience to provide on-site teaching and supervision to medical students and house officers. Contractor radiologist must also be qualified by training and experience to provide attending physicians and trainees effective and timely on-site consultation and may participate in person at Tumor Boards and similar patient care/quality assurance conferences. EDUCATION RESPONSIBILITIES:a.Maintain radiology residency and/or fellowship training programs.b.Participate in teaching conferences, grand rounds, journal club and similar education activities. c. Contractor radiologist shall be required to attend VA provided VISTA computer systems, PACS, and other necessary training sessions required by VA policies and regulations.d. Complete environment of care; infection control; information security, and HIPAA training during orientation. CREDENTIALING AND PRIVILEGING:Upon award of this contract and before performing any services, Contractor must be approved for credentialing and granted privileges by the Providence VA Medical Affairs Office. Credentialing documents (Vet Pro) are to be submitted within 5 days following award. Proposals will be evaluated by technical qualifications through CV's,licenses,and VetPro registrations; Past Performance; and Price.Technical qualifications and past performance are more important than price.
