- PROJECT DETAILS: This project consists of grading, paving, drainage, and bridge rehabilitation on 8.422 miles of roadway on SD PRA WICA 11(2) & 12(1), Visitor Center/Cave Access Road and North Entrance Road in Wind Cave National Park, Custer County, South Dakota. The estimated price range for this project is between $3,000,000.00 and $4,000,000.00 MAJOR WORK ITEMS INCLUDE: lump sum contractor testing; 14,000 ln ft of silt fence; 114,000 sq yd pulverizing; 1,350 cu yd roadway aggregate, method 2; 21,000 tons hot asphalt concrete pavement; 91,000 sq yd asphalt pavement milling; 130 tons prime coat; 40,900 lb structural steel ? furnished, fabricated, and erected; 247 ln ft bridge railing ? timber; 14 mfbm structural timber and lumber ? treated; 14 cu yd removal of concrete by hydrodemolition; 2,140 ln ft concrete curb and gutter; 6 cu yd stone masonry sign base; 4,600 hours traffic control; along with associated removal of trees, pipe culvert, signs, curb, guardrail, sidewalk, and bridge superstructure.
