- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the acquisition of five (5) Power Supply Modules, Model Number 1764, NSN 6130-01-525-9960, from Quarterwave Corporation. The Quarterwave PSMs replace the original grid modulator/inverter modules manufactured by Norden Systems. These PSMs are required for use in the Airport Surface Detection Equipment (ASDE-3) radar systems. Quarterwave is the only know source for these PSMs. The FAA intends to solicit and negotiate only with Quarterwave Corporation, Rohnert Park, CA, in accordance with AMS Policy 3.2.2.4. A market survey was conducted in 2003, and the results of this survey supported our determination to solicit and negotiate with only one firm. This announcement is for information purposes only.
