- AMENDMENT NO. 01 (IN UPPER CASE LETTERING) DESCRIPTION OF REVISIONS: 1. REVISE PART B. STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS, CRITERIA 1, EXPERIENCE, THIRD COLUMN, FIRST SENTENCE AS FOLLOWS: DELETE THE WORDING: ?MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: AT LEAST TWO OF THESE DESIGN-BUILD PROJECTS SHALL HAVE HAD A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT VALUE GREATER THAN $5,000,000. ? AND REPLACE WITH: ?MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: AT LEAST TWO OF THESE DESIGN-BUILD PROJECTS SHALL HAVE HAD A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT VALUE GREATER THAN $5,000,000 EACH OR STRONGLY RELATE TO THE LASO OFFICE BUILDING IN SIZE AND FUNCTIONALITY." 2. IN ADDITION TO THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT IN THE COVER LETTER AND AMENDMENT NO.1 THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT IS ADDED: ?THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS AN APPROVED LINE-ITEM FUNDING SOURCE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FEDERAL BUILDING. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS NO APPROVAL FOR CONSIDERATION OF ANY 3RD PARTY TYPE FINANCING/CONSTRUCTION. CONSIDERATION IS BEING GIVEN TO BOTH ON-SITE AND OFF-SITE DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION.? This procurement is for the Design-Build of NSSB Phase II LASO Office Building. This building has been sited in Los Alamos, New Mexico at TA-3 (near Bikini Atoll and West Jemez Road). The building will be approximately 22,000 square feet, single story, and will include offices, conference rooms, kitchenettes, and storage space. Approximately 120 parking spaces are included. Utilities will be supplied up to the LASO construction site by the University. The NSSB Phase II LASO Building project will also include installation of approximately 750? sewer line which will be tied in to an existing sewer line. Furniture will be included with your proposal for the building. In addition to locating the building at the TA-3 Wellness Center site, the University will consider an alternate site location in the Los Alamos town site. The ?Town Site? is generally described as any area North of Los Alamos Canyon Bridge in Los Alamos County. The respondent will coordinate with the County of Los Alamos in the selection and development of a construction site. Financial arrangements for the land, if leased would have to be contracted between NNSA and Respondent or Los Alamos County. The construction of the building would be procured by the University with the same design requirements at either site. Respondents can either elect to be qualified for the TA-3 Wellness Center Site, the Town Site, or Both. Respondents must specify in their RFQ response which qualification option they are selecting. Respondents must still meet the qualifications of Criteria 1 A. Experience of Part B, Statement of Qualifications of the Request for Qualifications package. Part B. Statement of Qualifications is revised in its entirety to cover these options and is attached hereto and incorporated into this RFQ. This procurement will use a two-step process ? Step one will be Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Step two will a Request for Proposals (RFP). Only those firms selected in step one will be sent the RFP. This procurement will be a full and open competition to both large and small businesses.
