- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for software maintenance renewal services for one year for the following items: 1. Ansoft Designer 2. High Frequency Structure Simulator NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the service from Ansoft Corporation, Pittsburg, PA. Ansoft is the sole vendor for the software maintenance, they hold all the proprietary information. The Authority is U.S.C 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and Simplified Acquisition Procedures set for in FAR Part 13. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, but quotes timely received by the response date will be considered. All Technical questions should be submitted in writing to Jonnelle Goff via e-mail at Jonnelle.C.Goff@nasa.gov or fax, 301-286-9159 no later than 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on June 12, 2006. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to Jonnelle Goff, via e-mail at Jonnelle.C.Goff@nasa.gov, fax to 301-286-9159 or mail to NASA/GODDARD SPACE FLIGHT CENTER, Mail Code 210.3/Jonnelle Goff, Greenbelt, MD 20771, not later than 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time by the noted response date. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
