Description

U.S. Army Space Command intends to issue a contract to Mobile Mini Inc, Colorado Springs, CO through solicitation no. W91260-06-T-0014 pursuant to the authority of FAR Parts 6.3, 12 and 13.501(a) Sole Source Acquisitions. Mobile Mini Inc will be prov iding one (1) year rental of two (2) double-wide 60FT x 24FT modular office trailers for US Army Space and Missile Defense (SMDC) 1st Space Battalion JTAGS-IQT, 2525 Aviation Way, Colorado Springs CO. Required delivery, installation and set up date is 15 J une 2006. Two (2) double-wide 60FT x 24FT modular office trailers are currently being rented from Mobile Mini and the additional two (2) double-wide modular office trailers must match the existing office trailers and are required to be in place and set up for when J TAGS-IQT staff arrives to perform their mission the end June 2006. The required double-wide 60FT x 24FT modular office trailers includes skirting, delivery, and setup. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance wit h the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisit ion Circular (FAC) 2005-09. The proposed contract action is for one (1) year rental of two (2) double-wide 60FT x 24FT modular office trailers for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501. There is only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. Mobile Mini Inc is the only source capable of providing the 60FT x 24FT officer trailers by the required delivery date. A justification for Other than Full and O pen Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, applies to this acquisition to the extent consistent with a sole source acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the p rovision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and C onditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. This is not a solicitation nor is it a formal request for proposal.
