Description
The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the award of a construction contract for the renovation of the United States Military Academy Range 11 in order to construct a Corps of Engineers TC 25-8 standard design Modified Record Fire (MRF) Range (16 lanes) with the additional capability of zeroing weapons on a portion of the range. The range will include (144) new stationary infantry targets (SITs), 16 foxholes, a new General Instruction Build ing (800 SF), a new Covered Mess (800 SF), a refurbished Range Tower, demolition of three (3) buildings (1,970 SF total), new lane and limit markers, new main electrical service, new broadband connection, new range power and data transfer cabling, new heat ing and air conditioning for the General Instruction Building, new grading and drainage and other site improvements. Access for individuals with disabilities is not required. The estimated project cost is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The sele cted contractor must complete the entire work ready for use no later than 270 calendar days after the date the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed. The time stated for completion shall include the final cleanup of the premises. If the contractor fa ils to complete the work within the time specified in the contract, or any extension, the contractor shall pay to the Government in liquidated damages, the sum of $527.00 for each day of delay. This procurement is being solicited as a 100% set-aside for f irms registered with the Small Business Administration (SBA) as a Section 8(a) business, in New York or New Jersey.
