- SYNOPSIS The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Afghanistan District intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a Firm Fixed Price contract to make repairs throughout the main building and throughout the campus. The first phase of renovation work prioritize d repairs and recommend the electrical, heating, and plumbing systems be addressed as the top three priorities. The second phase of the renovation work is to include option items that were not awarded in phase l, as well as additional work that has been i dentified as critical to the hospitals functionality. Oversight of the Engineer/QAR will be coordinated with the closest AED Resident Office. The award for this procurement will be made in accordance with the applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations. The applicable NAICS code is 236210. The contractor shall furnish his own labor, materials and equipment to accomplish the requirements. The estimated value of the contract is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The total schedule for completing the entire work is 540 after receipt of notice to proceed. The proposed contract will be awarded using best value. Solicitation Number W917PM-06-R-0043 will be available on or about 17 June 2006.
