- The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive Research, Development, and Engineering Center is hereby announcing its intent to qualify products meeting the requirements of MIL-PRF-2104G (LUBRICATING OIL, INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, COMBAT and TACTICAL SERVICE). MI L-PRF-2104G was replaced by MIL-PRF-2104H in July, 2004. Due to a lack of qualified products meeting the requirements of MIL-PRF-2104H, a competitive QPL cannot be established at this time. Therefore, qualification of products to the MIL-PRF-2104G specification will be accepted for a period not less than two ye ars, or until June 1, 2008. Manufactures, suppliers, or marketers are encouraged to submit products for qualification to either MIL-PRF-2104G or MIL-PRF-2104H. Products qualified under MIL-PRF-2104H will be added to the 2104G QPL and automatically assigned to the 2104H QPL at the en d of the two year period.
