- Description
- The Food and Drug Administration intends to issue a Solicitation Number FDA-1017585 to award a noncompetitive contract to KamTek, Inc., a small business in Gaithersburg, Maryland. KamTek shall continue to provide a storage facility within a 25-mile radius of Rockville, Maryland. KamTek shall house and maintain up to 17 Government supplied ultra-low temperature freezers, liquid nitrogen and a walk-in storage facility used to store biological materials. The facility shall be completely air-conditioned, provide an emergency electrical generator system, and a remote and central alarm security system. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit capability statements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
