- Description
- The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL-SSC) has a requirement for software and hardware engineering services. The scope of this effort encompasses the management, evaluation, procurement, system engineering, system integration, programming, maintenance, training and testing associated with all resources supported by the Marine Geosciences Division Information System Office (MGDISO), the Office of Research Support Services, and the Oceanography Division. The engineering tasks to be performed require in-depth working knowledge and experience with system integration for micro-computers and mini-computers, which include office automation systems, communication equipment, operating systems, local area networks, management information systems, scientific software, and business management software currently maintained and in use at NRL-SSC. Certain of the required engineering services will be provided for multiple NRL-SSC offices, including both scientific and administrative offices. Detailed requirements, including a detailed statement of work, personnel requirements, and contract data requirements, will be included in the solicitation file. The anticipated period of performance for any resulting contract will be a base year with four option years. This solicitation is 100 percent Set-Aside for Small Businesses. The Government anticipates award of an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Time and Materials contract for the requirements. NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs. This solicitation and any amendments to it will be available via the Internet starting approximately fifteen (15) days after publication of this announcement at the URL address provided below.
