- Description
- This project is to modify features of the Upper St. Johns Project to preserve and enhance floodplain and aquatic habitats, provide and/or protect conveyance of water discharged downstream through Structures S-96B and S-96C, decrease probability of si gnificant freshwater discharges to the Indian River Lagoon, and improve water quality. Project includes levee construction, grassing of new levees, channel construction, plugging two existing canals, degrading spoil mounds and disposing of material in exi sting canals, removal of two culverts and backfilling, and construction of a 600 ft steel sheet pile weir with concrete cap and culverts. This solicitation will be issued on or about 12 May 2006 and open on or about 27 June 2006. This solicitation will be distributed using the FedTeDS system. The MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION is between $5,000,000.00 and $10 ,000,000.00. THIS ACQUISITION IS UNRESTRICTED. There will be a price evaluation preference for certified HUBZone small business concerns that comply with the requirements in the solicitation as stipulated in FAR 19.1307.
