Description
1.0 SUBJECT: Request for Information (RFI) is a sources sought inquiry for the Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for construction and renovation of real properties for USAF and support units on Okinawa, Japan. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. 2.0 DESCRIPTION: 18 CONS/LGCC is seeking information from industry that will assist in marketing research for the USAF and support units on Okinawa, Japan. Specifically, this RFI seeks the following information: Identification of sources and interested parties; business size; feasibility alternatives assessments; ideas and suggestions that provide alternative approaches to forming, developing, and acquiring design-build and construction service. 3.0 REQUIREMENTS: The purpose of MACC is to have a purchasing tool in place for construction requirements with compressed lead-time. Government contemplates solicitation for award to multiple, undetermined number of contractors. Following are the Three Work Elements for MACC: Work Element No. 1: Contractor shall develop a project design documentation including drawings, specifications, and design analysis, which represent a 35%, 65%, 95% and 100% design effort as identified on individual Task Order. Upon design review and acceptance by the Government, construction shall commence. Work Element No. 2: Contractor shall be provided with an intermediate design documentation including drawings, specifications, and/or design analysis for further development into a 95% and 100% final design documentation. Upon design review and acceptance by the Government, construction shall commence. Work Element No. 3: Contractor shall be provided with a 100% completed design documentation including drawings, specifications, and design analysis to initiate and complete construction. 4.0 DISCLAIMER: This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
