- The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for Hotel Accommodations and Hotel services located in the geographic area of Milwaukee, WI (CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD AT 5000 W. NATIONAL AVENUE, BLDG. 6). The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefit Administration, Office of Employee Development and Training will be participating in the Challenge 2006-3 conference. The breakdown for hotel accommodations are as follows; room breakdown Wednesday, 6/7/2006 (2), Thursday, 6/8/2006 (2), Friday, 6/9/2006 (2), Saturday, 6/10/2006 (2), Sunday 6/11/2006 (2), Monday, 6/12/2006 (20), Tuesday, 6/13/2006 (20), Wednesday, 6/14/2006 (20), Thursday, 6/15/2006 (20), Friday, 6/16/2006 (20), Saturday, 6/17/2006 (20), Sunday, 6/18/2006 (20), Monday, 6/19/2006 (20), Tuesday, 6/20/2006 (20), Wednesday, 6/21/2006 (20), Thursday, 6/22/2006 (20), Friday 6/23/2006 (20), Saturday, 6/24/2006 (20), Sunday, 6/25/2006 (20), Monday, 6/26/2006 (20), Tuesday, 6/27/2006 (20), Wednesday, 6/28/2006 (20), Thursday, 6/29/2006 (20) and 6/30/2006 check out. Based on the breakdown described, the total rooms requested are 370 each (2 X 23 = 46 and 18 X 18 =324, total 370). All rooms must be individual /private sleeping rooms with toilet facilities smoke free and at government per diem rate for Milwaukee. PAYMENTS FOR ROOMS SHALL BE PAID VIA PURCHASE ORDER. Additional requirements for the hotel suites are: Hotel located within ten miles of training site (VARO Milwaukee), Dining and shopping within 2 miles of hotel, Shuttle service (From and to the airport; to and from the training site), Complimentary breakfast, High speed internet access, Microwave and refrigerator access, ADA Complaint, No penalty for rooms not used. The specific instructions contained herein are intended to serve as guideline for the preparation of the quotation. In developing the quotation, the Contractor shall comply with the requirements stated in the description. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO AWARD WITHOUT DISCUSSIONS. Therefore, each contractor is urged to e xamine this request for quote in its entirety and to ensure that their quote contains all necessary information, provides all required documentation, and is complete in all aspects. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
