- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor will perform heavy maintenance on the Tellico Ranger Station CCC Admin. House: Work involves the rehab of a 1936 historical house of 1498 sq. ft. that is presently vacant at the Tellico Ranger Station Complex. Work includes removal of asbestos siding and old wood ship lap siding and trim from exterior walls. Installation of new plywood to stud walls with new hardie board exterior siding. Floor beams and joist replaced, total interior replacement/repairs, electrical systems replaced, new windows, insulation, doors, cabinetwork, flooring, painting, plumbing and fixtures, and new concrete carport and driveway. House will have 3 small bedrooms and 1 accessible bathroom, kitchen and living room to house college researchers on the Forest. Contract time will be 200 days from the effective date on the Notice to Proceed. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: between $100,000. and $250,000. PROJECT LOCATION: Tellico Ranger District, Monroe County, Tellico Plains, TN. The project is located at the Tellico Ranger District Complex, 250 Ranger Station Road, Tellico Plains, TN 37385. Drive approximately 5 miles East of Tellico Plains, TN on TN 165 to FS road 210 (Tellico River Road) on the right, Ranger Station Road is appx. 0.5 miles on FS 210 on the left. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: The solicitation, AG-4756-S-06-0018, and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as an Invitation for Bid and will be available for downloading on or about May 31, 2006 at the website address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. A Pre-Bid visit date will be included in the solicitation. All vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database(CCR) prior to award of a Federal contract. Registration may be completed on the internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. Information is available at the site including how to obtain a DUNS number, which is required to begin the registration process. Vendors are also required to be registered with the On-line Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Registration may be completed by going to http://www.bpn.gov and clicking on ?Online Reps and Certs Application?. You must be active in CCR and have an MPIN from that active record to begin ORCA registration. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Intrested Vendor. The Interested Vendor?s List will be the only Bidder?s List maintained for this procurement.
