- ATTENTION: Important Notice for Small Businesses Doing Business With Defense Supple Center Columbus (DSCC). Defense Logistics Agency's Virtual Prime Vendor Initiative in Support of FASI (Fleet Automotive Supportive Initiative) Global land-based vehicles Industry Day will be held on June 1, 2006, at the Defense Supply Center Columbus (http://www.dscc.dla.mil/) in Columbus, Ohio. Industry Day will address the overall FASI Global concept and provide direction to small businesses on supporting this effort and for qualifying as sources of supply to Virtual Prime Vendor. This concept capitalizes on the strengths of the Supply Chain Integrator and the Government to improve the supply chain process while increasing both supply availability and parts reliability. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT SUPPLIERS PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO REVIEW A LISTING OF THE NATIONAL STOCK NUMBERS (NSNs) that will be supported via FASI Global to determine if your company will be affected. The NSN LISTING is available for review at http://www.dscc.dla.mil/offices/land/FASIglobal.html The primary goal in this endeavor is to improve customer support at the user level, ensuring World Wide Military readiness in the process. The primary customers are the Army and Marine Corps, including the Reserves and National Guard. Additional information regarding this acquisition and a listing of NSNs that will be supported via FASI Global will be posted on the DSCC Web Site, http://www.dscc.dla.mil/offices/land/FASIglobal.html. In addition to the Industry Day, there will be a breakout session from 2:00 to 4:00 for vendors to sit down and talk one on one on acquisition, small business, and quality/tech issues for FASI GLOBAL only.
