Description
This solicitation is for a corporate contract procurement of part-numbered items manufactured by Meritor Heavy Vehicle Systems. All NSNs are available for download under the “special download” menu on the DSCC Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB). Offerors should be aware that there is a potential for multiple awards. The intent is to award an indefinite delivery type contract for a one-year base and four option years. The solicitation and NSNs will be available for download on the Internet at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil on its issue date. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. For questions on the content of the solicitation, contact the primary point of contact.All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. See Note 26. The solicitation will be available in the FebBizOpps on its issue date of January 20, 2005. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. This proposed procurement includes a family group of items within the Federal Supply Class: (See website above on issue date). This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The approved sources are: While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
