- Description
- Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to repair 15 above-ground, shop-fabricated steel petroleum storage tanks (ASTs), ranging in volumetric capacity/size from 500 gallons to 12,000 gallons, currently being used to store various petroleum produ cts that are located on the grounds of the US Army Aviation Center, Fort Rucker, Alabama, as well as its adjoining/associated airfields, staging fields, and other relevant sites. Repairs will conform to the Steel Tank Institute (STI) Standard SP001-03; an d/or American Petroleum Institute (API) Standard 653; and/or API Recommended Practice 575 based on inspection reports. All work will conform to applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requirements, standards, and/or guidelines, as required. Work is located inside fenced areas and near existing fuel tanks, piping, etc. Contract duration is 215 calendar days. The solicitation will be issued via Internet on/about June 6, 2006, with bid opening on/about July 6, 2006. Firm, fixed price. Star t work 10 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost of proposed acquisition is between $100,000 and $250,000. Statuatory cost limitation applicable to this project is $750,000. The NAICS Code is 237120. Small business size is $28.5 mi llion. Solicitation is issued under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program on an unrestricted basis.
