- The VA Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Region (VISN6) Central Acquisition Service intends to procure sole source with Viasys Healthcare Inc., 22745 Savi Ranch Parkway, Yorba Linda, CA 92887 for four (4) additional diagnostic sleep systems for the existing Viasys system located in the sleep lab at the VA Medical Center, 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. The Medical Center currently has four (4) existing systems and is expanding to accommodate a total of eight (8) systems. The new sleep systems must interface utilizing HL7 and be compatible with the existing systems. NAICS code 337910 applies to this procurement with a business size standard of 500 employees. The proposed action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Written inquiries or comments regarding this notice may be sent via fax to the attention of the Contracting Officer at (910) 482-5226 no later than 3:00 PM EST May 24, 2006. The anticipated date of award is May 30, 2006 and will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. No solicitation will be made available. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
