Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Logistics Center has a requirement for the acquisition of twenty (20) UHF Transmitters, NSN 5820-01-369-1353, part number CM200 UT, from General Dynamics C4 Systems, Scottsdale, AZ. General Dynamics is the original manufacturer and only known source. The CM200 radio is a unique and proprietary General Dynamics air/ground radio qualified for use in the National Airspace System (NAS.) It provides for two-way communications between pilots and air traffic controllers in both enroute and local airspace environments. The FAA does not have specifications or drawings to permit competition. The contractor must have access to the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) specifications and drawings. Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA showing proof-of-rights to use the data from the OEM. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA. Mark responses to this market survey with Market Survey File 06-59644, to arrive by May 22, 2006, no later than 11:00 a.m. CST. Facsimile responses are permitted at 405/954-9219. E-mail responses are permitted at connie.m.houpt@faa.gov. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this market survey. Any proprietary information should be so marked. This market survey shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these items. Responders to this market survey may be asked to provide additional details/information based on their initial submittal.
