- The Small Business Set Aside Request for Proposal (RFP) for career transition services for youth in the State of Michigan will be available approximately June 5, 2006, on the World Wide Web at http://www.FedBizOpps.gov and http://wdsc.doleta.gov/jobcorps/. Job Corps is a program that provides educational and occupational skills training and support services to youth 16 through 24, in a residential setting. The U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, does not plan to exercise the last option year, or fifth year, of the current contract for career transition services in the State of Michigan. This decision is based totally on administrative considerations and is not related to performance of contractual requirements. RFP No. DOLJ07RA00012 is to provide Career Transition Services annually for 1400 Youth returning to the State of Michigan. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period May 1, 2007 through April 30, 2009 plus three unilateral option years. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 230 S. Dearborn, John C. Kluczynski Federal building, Office of Job Corps, 6th floor, Room 676, on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 10:00am. We recommend that you download the RFP from our website prior to the conference and bring the RFP with you to the conference. All questions should be submitted in writing prior to the pre-proposal conference. Proposals in response to this RFP will be due no later than 12:00 pm (noon), Central Standard Time, on Tuesday, August 8, 2006, at the following address: U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, Room 676, 230 S.
