Description

NEW MANUFACTURE – NSN: 4810-01-237-5974RK (VALVE SOLENOID) QUALIFICATION REQUIEMENTS APPLY. Currently, the only Qualified Source for Manufacture of this item is Smiths Aerospace (Cage: 05604). NEW MANUFACTURE SOLICITED, however, the Government will consider NEW/UNUSED Government Surplus as long as it passes the stringent Government inspection requirements. Surplus inspection requirements will be included in the Solicitation when issued. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity’s procedures as approved by the cognizant government engineering activity. Qualification requirements are set forth in the OC-ALC source approval information booklet. NSN: 4810-01-237-5974RK Noun: VALVE, SOLENOID Part Number: 697750-3 Alternate Part Number: PYLB51239-2 Applicable to: C-130/T-56 QTY: 8 EA Description: Provides and augmentation system for the engine oil cooler located in the duct assembly of the aircraft. Approximate Dimensions: 1.5” Diameter x 4.01 Width x 4.471 Height x 5.20 Length. Approximate Weight: 3.0 lbs. Destination: Tinker AFB, OK FB2039 Required Delivery Date: 8 EA - On or Before 30 NOV 2006. NOTE: Faxed solicitation requests can be submitted to the buyer, James Chandler, Tinker AFB, at (405) 739-3462. Under the authority of FAR 6.302, the proposed contract action is for supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 45 days (30 if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm listed. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) in the planned solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested parties may identify to the contracting officer, their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. FY06 FUNDS APPLY TO THIS ACQUISITION. AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS CLAUSE SHALL APPLY. NO OBLIGATION MAY BE INCURRED BY THE GOVERNMENT UNTIL FY06 FUNDS AVAILABILITY HAS BEEN CERTIFIED.
