- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is set-aside for small business only. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 334516, Size Standard 500. Solicitation/Purchase Request number F2BBAE6114A200 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09 effective 19 Apr 2006. The Government intends to award one contract line item number (CLIN 0001) for the purchase of a spectrometer with scientific-grade cooled CCD detector array (~1024x56 pixel), installed optical bench entrance aperture (50 micron width), HR composite grating installed with a 200-925 range, order-sorting detector filter (UV) installed, cross-platform spectroscopy operating software (Microsoft-XP, Mac OS-X, and Linux) through USB-2 interface and annual service package for spectrometer. Total package should include: custom fibers (pending design approval), 1000-micron diameter UV-transmitting vacuum feed-through coupling , optical fiber input fixturing and mercury argon calibration source. The monochrometer should fit within a space 8" wide by 2" high by 5" deep. QUANTITY:_1_ UNIT OF MEASURE:_EA_ DESIRED DELIVERY DATE: _20 Jun 2006____ FOB: DESTINATION.
