- The VA Network 22 Logistics Office, Long Beach, California intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with International Remote Imaging Systems, Inc. (IRIS), Chatsworth, California to service Government owned Urinalysis Workstations and associated equipment, manufactured by IRIS, in optimum operating condition to meet manufacturer?s specification for operation and performance. The equipment is located at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS), and VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System Sepulveda Ambulatory Care & Nursing Home Center. Required services will consist of scheduled Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs), all necessary intervening service to include but not limited to, all necessary labor, material, parts, tools, equipment, travel, shipping expenses, calibration, performance verification, all software updates and adjustment, and replacement of worn or defective parts. The NAICS Code is 811412 and the Size Standard is $5.0 M. The anticipated contract will include a base year with four option years. This procurement is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and FAR parts 12 and 15. The authority cited and justification made is based on the determination that the Government?s minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from this one source. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement on or about May 19, 2006, 4:00 pm Pacific Central Time. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. No solicitation will be made available and all information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed award date is June 1, 2006. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Only written inquires will be accepted. No telephone inquires will be accepted.
