Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. Revision 0001 The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Cincinnati, OH requires the services to provide data collection assistance to the Principal Investigators for the final two data collection phases of the ?Work Organization Predictors of Depression in Women? project, located in the Work Organization and Stress Research Team (WOSRT) within the Division of Applied Research and Technology (DART) of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). In 2000, NIOSH funded a program that will assess work organization factors and their relation to worker depression and cardiovascular disease. The ?Work Organization Predictors of Depression in Women? project is a component project within this program. The goals of this project are to provide a comprehensive assessment of work organizational factors related to depression in women. Additionally, workplace policies and practices that may be protective against depression will be examined for their effectiveness. A survey will be administered by telephone to employed women and men at 12 or more different organizations/companies at three points in time; at baseline, one year later, and two years later. The survey contains questions about job stressors, depression symptoms, and company policies, programs, and practices. Study participants have been recruited and have been administered the baseline survey under a prior contract; CDC contract no. 200-98-0103, TO 33. There remains a need for assistance with the administration of the telephone interviews at Year 1 and Year 2.Organizations that believe they can provide the required services are encourgaed to identify themselves to the Contractacting Officer with 10 days from the posting date of notice. Interested parties shall provide documentation which demonstrates that they have the expertise and capabilities necessary to meet the stated requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will solely be used for the purpose of determining wheter to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days, award will be made to Research Triangle Institute under authority of FAR 6.302-1. All information received will be considered by the the Government. The period of Performance is 24 months.
