- Description
- The National Data Buoy Center intends to negotiate only with NortekUSA of Annapolis, MD for 3 Each Accoustic Doppler Current Profilers with Wave Measuring Capability to include: 600 KHz AWAC with AST Firmware; External Battery Cannister with cable; Lithium Battery Pack (1200Wh) and Nortek Storm Software. NDBC plans to evaluate this product both in a fixed deployment and a subsurface moored deployment and to compare it against existing NDBC wave measuring methods. Experience gained from this evaluation will be used to determine the suitability of using this method to measure directional waves from platforms in which it is not presently possible (C-MAN stations, 6 Meter NOMAD buoys).
