- Description
- The fence projects are located on the Heppner Ranger District (Heppner, Oregon; Morrow County) of the Umatilla National Forest. Fence construction/reconstruction involves constructing 3-wire (barbed), steel ?T? post, wood stay and wood and/or steel (wood rock jack and/or steel stretch points/supports). Right-a-way clearing will be part of the contract. Some existing mesh wire fence will be removed, as new fence is being constructed. Materials (wire and metal post) from existing fence will need to be rolled up and transported to Tupper Work Center (Bone Yard) located on the Heppner Ranger District. Old wood materials will be used in the existing fence (if sound) or scattered along the fence right-a-way. No vegetation within 20 feet of a stream shall be damaged or removed unless absolutely necessary. Estimated start work date is June 20, 2006.
