Description

Exterior Masonry Repair, Battle Creek, Michigan Hart Doyle Inouye Federal Center FSC: Z111 The intent of the project is to perform brick and limestone masonry repair work to Building 1of the Hart Doyle Inouye Federal Center. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: repair, replace or repoint damaged brick and limestone masonry, clean all brick and limestone, patch decorative concrete outriggers, repoint all window lintels and sills and install new weeps in brick. The option work includes similar brick and limestone masonry repair work to Building 1A (option 1) and provide an alternate detail for reconstruction of the sill condition (option 2). The contract completion time is 365 days (if option 1 is exercised an additional 90 days will be provided). The estimated price for this project including option 1 is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This acquisition is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to all business concerns. NAICS is 238140 and the size standard is $13 million. This is a negotiated, best value, firm fixed price acquisition. Proposals will be evaluated on past performance and price. The solicitation will be issued on or about April 7, 2006; the actual date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the solicitation. A pre-proposal conference is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 18, 2006; the actual date and time will be stated in the solicitation. The anticipated start date is August 2006. The solicitation will be available through the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) at https://www/fedteds.gov. All interested vendors must register with FedTeDS by providing the following: (1)Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) (2) DUNS number or CAGE code (3) telephone number and (4) e-mail address. Offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and for monitoring FedBizzOpps and FedTeDS for amendments and/or additional information. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (23-MAR-2006).
