- Description
- Sole Source. The United States Army Contracting Agency Southern Region, Yuma Directorate, Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Mallory Engineering Inc., 2779 West Direct ors Row, Salt Lake City, UT, 84014-4514. This contract will be to upgrade several climatic chambers with new PLC hardware located at YPG. Mallory possesses the proprietary engineering drawings for all of the chambers. The modifications require knowledge of the chamber control circuit and unique operational characteristics; thus, Mallory is the only contractor capable of completing the modifications. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisiti on of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these services, then you must respond by 24 May 2006 12:00PM MST. Email your response demonstrating your firms experience and capability of providing this requirement to Edgar Angulo at Edgar.Angulo@yuma.army.mil In order to protect proprietary inf ormation and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed item. See Note 22 with the exception that the time period for the receipt of propo sals for consideration is 13 days instead of 45 days.
