Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Acquisition Operations Service in Washington, DC intends to procure replacement telephone systems comprising a complete digital/analog voice telephone Private Branch Exchange (PBX) with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMC?s) in Ann Arbor, Battle Creek, Saginaw, MI; Outpatient Clinics (OPCs) at Grand Rapids, Michigan and Toledo, Ohio; Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) at Lansing, Muskegon, Traverse City, Alpena, Petoskey, Oscoda, Gaylord, Michigan; and HealthCare for Homeless Veterans Michigan. The work includes furnishing and installing three (3) NEC NEAX 2400 IPX system for the VAMC sites; ten (10) NEC NEAX 2000 IPS system for the OPC and CBOC sites; and a VoIP solution will satisfy the requirements for the Healthcare for the Homeless Veterans Michigan. Of the 10 NEC NEAX 2000 IPS systems, the contractor will be responsible for installing 3 of the sites with delivery of the equipment for the remaining 7 sites to the VISN 11 designated Telecommunication Manager. The proposed NEC NEAX 2400 IPXs PBXs must be networked via IP Fusion, and the NEC NEAX 2000 IPS will be networked via IP CCIS among other facilities in VISN 11 to provide one seamless operational Enterprise telephony network through out the VISN. The (3) VAMC sites require access capability via their LAN/WAN to connect to the Aim WorX, Global Navigator, Querworx systems residing at the Marion VAMC. This procurement includes voice mail/auto attendant for the VAMC sites. Call detail reporting shall also be provided. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) functions must be supported for both trunks and end user devices. This procurement is set-aside for competition among service-disabled veteran-owned small business firms. VISN 11 has set-aside May 31, 2006 through June 1, 2006 as days for site visits to Ann Arbor, Battle Creek and Saginaw. Please note, the distance between each site is approximately 1 ? hours. Individuals interested in attending the site visit are to report at 9:00 AM (Local Time) in the Lobby of the Main Building at Ann Arbor. The address for the Ann Arbor site is 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. It is anticipated the solicitation document will be available on the web on or about May 15, 2006.
