- The Maritime Administration intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to IMSSCO, Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, FL for the following Shipboard Fire Emergency Apparatus: (1) PFA-95 Portable Foam Applicators (Qty 51 ea)(NSN: 4210-01-486-6430) SELF-EDUCTING FOAM NOZZLE: Model PFA-95 BR 95 GPM turbo vari nozzle constructed of bronze less 15% zinc content and other embodied special materials per USCG requirements. Infinitely variable water or foam solution patents from straight-stream, power cone or full-fog with full flush capabilities. USCG approved in accordance with UL 162. 1/4-TURN BALL VALVE - P/N: 1/4TBV. JACKET COVER- P/N CV-FJ. Made of UV-resistant material with Velcro sides for quick release. FOAM EXPANSION TIP- P/N LX-MX-95. Required by SOLAS and UL 162 to meet foam solution expansion rule. CARRY-ALL BAG- P/N CB: Holds all items of the PFA-95, even with the foam jacket filled with foam concentrate. FOAM JACKET- P/N: FJ-95: Holds 5.28 USG (20 liters) of A-FFF foam concentrate. This continuous one-piece bladder material is made of 24 oz. inter-polymer alloy-coated polyester fabric. The Radio Frequency bonded bladder?s outer shell is made of flame-retardant Nomex Ill fiber. Two (2) large 2-inch fill ports with positive seals make for easy refilling. Test assessed and validated by US Department of Navy to be used with Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) MOUNTING BRACKET- P/N BKT-WBM: For securing the foam jacket, self educting vari nozzle, foam expansion tip, carry bag and cover on bulkhead. RATIO CONTROLLER- P/N RC: Allows the fire party member(S) to use 1% or 3% or 6% foam concentrates. Per USCG requirement, this controller is mechanically fixed at 1%. (2) Vulcan 1% A-FFF, UL Listed 162 (Qty 102 pails). Expected delivery date of 09/30/2006 for all items listed. This is NOT a request for quotation. An RFQ is NOT available. However, any small business firm who feels they can provide products of the same or equal specifications specified here and within the delivery time specified above is encouraged to submit capability statements and price quotes to katina.barham@dot.gov by 3pm local time on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 for consideration at the Government's discrection.
