- SET-ASIDE NOTICE: This requirement had been advertised and synopsized previously in the local newspaper intended for LOCAL Contractors from the Republic of Djibouti ONLY. This is Preliminary Site Work-Rough Grading for the New Embassy Compound located in Djibouti, Republic of Djibouti. The site is roughly "L" shaped with a residential compound and a vacant lot occupying the northeast corner of the block. Additional residential compounds and vacant lots flank the northeast corner of the block across the road right-of-way. No further development has been undertaken to the north, south, and west of the site. The site is approximately 4 hectares (10 acres) in size and is undeveloped with no distinguishing features or trees. The site is located on a former commercial salt flat adjacent to the Gulf of Aden. The Contract includes all work within the U.S. Government (USG) property line and work outside the property line consisting of sloping fill extending approximately 5 meters into the public right-of- way for future streets on south, east and west sides of property.
