Description
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for the Walker-Mono Basin Stewardship Project, encompassing hazardous fuels management services in California to accomplish the following: The purpose of this contract is to provide services for restoration of aspen stands in the vicinity of Virginia Creek and treatment of hazardous fuels (pinyon pine) in the vicinity of Walker and Coleville, California. It is the intention of the BLM to complete this project in the most cost effective manner. All merchantable material to be removed will be purchased from the Government and paid for at the total offer values shown through either application of Conservation Credits earned or cash deposit. The contractor shall develop and submit a Treatment Plan and Schedule to accomplish the project objectives and organize and direct all of the equipment and personnel needed to fully accomplish the work. The Treatment Plan and Schedule will be agreed upon by both parties and incorporated into the contract. All changes to the Treatment Plan will be agreed to prior to the changes taking effect. The period of performance will begin on or about August 22, 2006 and continue for no more than 45 days. This requirement is 100% set aside for small businesses under NAICS 115310. This solicitation will be available on or about May 17, 2006. A site visit has been scheduled for June 20, 2006 at 9:00 A.M. Participants will meet at the intersection of U.S. Highway 395 and Virginia Lakes Road, approx. 13 miles south of Bridgeport, California. Potential offerors are to provide their own transportation at no cost to the Government. The Government assumes no liability on behalf of offerors attending the site visit. Offerors intending to attend the site visit tour shall contact Dale Johnson at (760) 872-5055 at least 48 hours before the scheduled site visit and advise him of the firm's name and number of persons that will attend. Potential offerors may obtain a copy of the solicitation at http://www.fbo.gov or http://ideasec.nbc.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided. Contractors must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be considered eligible for award. Proposals are due no later than July 3, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. Denver local time.
