- Sole Source. The United States Army Contracting Agency Southern Region, Yuma Directorate, Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Surveyors Service Company, 2942 Century P lace, Costa Mesa, CA 92626. This contract will be for the purchase of one (1) Leica GPS System 1200 (Base and Rover) Smart Rovers with part numbers: 747957-745501-747322-733269-734752-733258-667223-667221-667222-747324-733299-8214695-667243-747096-745592 -733271-733323-751186-734711 (1) one Base Conversion Kit with part numbers: 667304-667308-747817-667216-667244-8209611 (2) two TCRA702 Ultra Reflectorless Automated Total Stations with part numbers: 748603-725685-737338-667757-748888-667123-734753-563625- 641618-667301-667309 (1) one Leica Digital Level Package with part numbers: 723829-734753-667318-563625-727291-726203-726208-8212905-734722 and Support and Training with their part number: 92018-TST8 to be used with other like systems already in use at YP G. YPG currently has a number of GPS based surveying systems, total station systems, controllers, precision modular EDMs, digital levels, lasers, processing and surveying software, and an array of support accessories (radios, batteries, chargers, cables, tripods, etc) built by Leica Geosystems Inc. To be fully interchangeable and compliant with the current Leica systems, and to reduce replacement costs of the entire system, replacement or new equipment should be 100% compatible with existing software and equipment. Surveyors Service Company located in Costa Mesa, California is the sole and exclusive distributor of Leica Geosystems Surveying Grade products in Southern California, Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. Award of this requirement will be in accorda nce with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETIT IVE PROPOSALS. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these services, then you must respond by 24 May 2006, 7:00AM MST.
