- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is soliciting proposals for innovative research under the designated program for research and deployment of high performing steel bridges under the SAFETEA-LU Transportation Authorization Bill. This Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) identifies the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) intention to sponsor research to develop an improved grade of corrosion resistant steel for highway bridge construction. The BAA is the only solicitation document issued for this requirement. It is the responsiblity of potential offerors to check the Electronic Posting System for any amendments that may be issued. This announcement is open to all sources and all responsible sources are invited to submit a proposal which will be considered by FHWA.
