- Description
- The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture, is seeking contractor(s) to provide Grazing Lands Inventory, in Mountrail County, North Dakota. The intent of the Agency is to solicit the most efficient and effective manner to complete the requirements of this inventory The contractor tasks will consist of conducting a complete vegetative inventory, identifying existing physical structures, analyzing the data collected, and work with producers to develop prescribed grazing plans. The primary source of technical guidance in completing tasks under this contract will be the Prescribed Grazing ? 528 Design and Installation Guide. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and support necessary to provide the services as solicited. Contractor will complete documents that demonstrate criteria in practice standards have been met and are compatible with planned and applied practices, identify fields where practices to be applied on a farm or ranch plan map, develop operation and maintenance plans, specification sheet that adequately describes practice requirements, certifying that the Grazing Management Plan meets practice standards and designing modifications during installation as required. Contractor shall provide a Project Manager who is a Certified Technical Services Provider for Grazing/Forages. All contractors are required to be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to being awarded a contract by NRCS. The CCR database is the primary Government repository for contractor information required to conduct business with the Federal Government. The Contract period may consist of a base year and one (1) option year. The North Atlantic American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541690. The Request for Proposal will be available on or about May 15, 2006. A pre-bid/pre-proposal conference will be held. Further information on the conference will be provided in the solicitation.
