- NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE-SEE SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential firms (sources sought only) for two-phase design build procurement in support of the Los Angeles District, Corps of Eng ineers. This procurement shall apply to project sites at Luke AFB, Arizona. Selection of the successful contractor will be based on two-phase design build procurement. A brief description of what is required under this contract follows: The work and services shall consist of: Design and construction of the FY06 Dormitory at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, Arizona. The project consists of a new 108-room dormitory, a new vehicular parking area, the expansion of two existing parking areas, associated site utilities and site work. Option Nos. 1, 2, and 3 provide for the design and construction of an additional 36 dormitory units. The primary mission of the facility is to improve the quality of life for the Air Force enlisted personnel. Ad ditional improvements include a partial road closure of Bong gutter, bike racks, and landscaping. Existing structures to be demolished including Building 581, Building 583 and vehicular parking area, two covered patio areas, a shed, a volleyball court, si dewalks, curb and gutter, and landscaping. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 236116. Concerns must submit a narrative describing their firms ability to perform work that is comparable to the work described by this synopsis. In addition to the narrative, firms mu st submit a short list of recent projects completed that closely matches the work described above. This list must include names, brief resumes, and telephone numbers of the owner, principal, or contractor performing the work and whether or not the persons are still employed by the firm. Firms responding to this announcement which fail to provide the required information will not be given further consideration. Responses to this notice must be received within 30 calendar days from the date of issuance of this synopsis. If the 30th day is a weekend day or Federal Holiday, the deadline is the close of business of the next business day. Responses received after that date will not be considered.
