Description
In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management Policy, Seection 3.2.1.3.12, Public Announcements, the FAA Alaska Region has a requirement for the inspection/certification and, if required, repairs of fire protection systems at FAA facilities throughout Alaska, ensuring compliance with applicable model building, national fire codes and OSHA requirements. The SIR is for a base year with four option years. The SIR is expected to be issued on or about May 16, 2006, with closing tentatively scheduled for June 16, 2006, at 2:30 pm local time. Only a small number of solicitation packages will be printed. To ensure a package, your request must be received by close of business May 9, 2006. Any requests after that date will not be acknowledged. "This Notice is for information purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
