- The Missile Defense Agency is soliciting capable offerors to provide Scientific, Engineering, and Technical Assistance for Ballistic Missile Defense simulation, architectures, evaluation of sensors, interceptors, and threats, concepts of operation, block development, elements and component system engineering, and advanced technologies contributing to future Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) capabilities.? Projected scope consists of providing executive-level experts with significant recent BMDS experience, conducting independent research investigations into the technical items above, and facilitating monthly senior advisory board meetings of these experts covering the science and engineering of the BMDS, development of key findings and recommendations on the technical issues involving the BMDS, and presentation to senior leadership.?The proposed contract performance period will be one base year and four option years. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals however responses received by 11 AM local time, May 9, 2006 will be reviewed. No formal solicitation package is available. The Government will not pay any costs incurred as a result of responding to this notice.
