Description
The Program Manager for Ammunition, Marine Corps Systems Command, desires the acquisition of commercial off-the-shelf, non-developmental 83mm Shoulder-Launched Multipurpose Assault Weapon (SMAW) ammunition as follows: SMAW-NE, Rocket, Encased SMAW-NE MK 80 MOD 0, DODIC HA34, NSN 1340-01-503-0809, PN 01365-82A5027A2375. Interested parties must: (1) have an existing production tooling/line capable of producing a minimum of 5000 rounds per year after initial start up; and (2) have the technical expertise and facilities to conduct standard Lot Acceptance Testing prior to delivery. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 332993, Ammunition (Ecept Small Arms) Manufacturing. The solicitation will be issued approximately 31 May 2006 with the closing date 30 days from issue date via the internet at http://www.FedBizOps.Gov. This action may result in a IDIQ type contract with a base ordering period of 12 months and 4 subsequent optional 12-month odering periods. All contractors who provide goods/services to the DoD must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR). The solicitation will require online certifications and representations (ORCA), http://orca.bpn.gov. Failure to comply with ORCA registration may make the offeror ineligible for award. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a white paper, technical data for the item, and past performance data no later than 10 May 2006 to Commanding General, Marine Corps Systems Command, Attn: Code PMM 2041, 2200 Lester St., Quantico, VA 22134.
