- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Director of Ocean Engineering, Supervisor of Salvage and Diving, (SUPSALV) anticipates issuing a solicitation for follow-on Waterborne Hull Cleaning Services in the May/June 2006 timeframe. The Navy released a ?DRAFT? document early this year regarding Waterborne Hull Cleaning and requested industry feedback. Based on industry responses some changes have been incorporated in the Waterborne Hull Cleaning Statement of Work (SOW). The latest revision to the SOW, Contract Data Requirements List and preliminary quantity requirements are being provided with this announcement. Additionally, the Navy intends to conduct a question and answer (Q&A) industry day on May 3, 2006 beginning at 12:00 PM Eastern time. The Q&A session will be held in Building 197 on the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC 20376. Interested parties are limited to no more than four (4) representatives whose names shall be provided to Mr. Todd Rollins, Contracting Officer, telephone (202) 781-3923 or e-mail todd.rollins@navy.mil no later than May 1, 2006. The Navy?s intent with regard to this Q&A session is to listen to industry?s concerns/comments/questions and to the maximum extent possible provide feedback/answers. The Navy makes no representation that it will address all concerns/comments/questions that may be presented. Some concerns/comments/questions may be addressed, if at all, by issuing written responses that will be provided subsequent to the Q&A session. The Navy will not reimburse interested parties for any costs incurred to participate in this event.
