Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR SMALL BUSINESS SOURCES ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. The Naval Air Warfare Center Lakehurst is seeking Small Businesses that have the capability of providing information pertaining to the feasibility of providing a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Automated Track and Balance Sets (ATABS) P/N: 1576AS100-4. The ATABS unit is a COTS item used to measure vibration levels, balance rotors and turbines and reduce track spreads on the MH-60 Helicopter main rotor blades, balance tail rotors, and tune cabin vibration isolators. The Tracking Analyzer Balance System (TABS) and the Optical Sensing unit have built-in self-tests to ensure proper operation. TABS can be operated in an auto test or manual mode. TABS is a micro-processor Controlled FFT analyzer. It receives data from external sensors and then determines what corrective actions are necessary to reduce vibration or track spread. The TABS contains battery backed up RAM, which emulates a six megabytes fixed disk drive. The TABS operates from standard navy 28 VDC sources. The Navy?s requirement is for fabrication, manufacturing, testing, production, demonstration and delivery of approximately fifty (50)production units. NAICS 334519 applies. Please provide information that would demonstrate your company?s manufacturing capabilities and any other documentation that would describe the ability to produce, manufacture and delivery the above requirement. It is requested that information be submitted NOT LATER THAN 19 May 06 to Ms. Nancy Delaney, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Code 25221B562-3, Highway 547, Lakehurst, NJ 08733-5082, or by electronic mail at: Nancy.Delaney@navy.mil. Ms. Delaney may be reached at (732) 323-4478. Respondents are notified that a formal solicitation MAY NOT necessarily result from the RFI. Any comments provided may or may not be included in a formal solicitation. The Government WILL NOT PAY for any information received in response to this RFI nor will the Government compensate any respondent with costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. The Government will not release any information marked with a Proprietary legend, received in response to this RFI, to any firms, agencies, or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend.
