- Removal of existing and installation of new sludge collector equipment in Bays 1, 2, and 3 of the existing pond filter including the chain drive system, collector flights, rails, and appurtenances to achieve a fully functioning sludge collector system. As a part of the Work, the existing dual-drive system at Bays 1 and 2 will be replaced with two single-drive systems capable of operating independently from each other with separate drive motors and gear box assemblies. The existing single-drive system at Bay 3 will be replaced with another single-drive system of the same design as the new drive systems at Bays 1 and 2. Work also includes installation of a new sludge collector control panel and related conduit and wiring to accommodate new motor starters, controllers, and related electrical equipment to accommodate the new drive motors. Existing electrical equipment no longer needed will be removed. In addition, work also includes removal and replacement of the valves and electrical actuators for the three 3-inch motor operated valves at the sludge drain piping as shown on the drawings and specified for the above described work. Removal and replacement of the PVC piping at the sludge drain piping system from the face of concrete wall up to and including the flanged flexible coupling on the sludge pump as shown on the drawings and specified for the above described work, solicitation closes May 30, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. PST., HubZone Preference.
