- The Southern Region Contracting Center-East, Fort McPherson, GA, intends to solicit offers in response to Request for Proposals (RFP) W911SE-06-R-0018 for construction services to be covered under a Requirements Type Firm Fixed Price Task Order Contr act in support of the Directorate of Public Works and Logistics (DPW/L) located at Fort Gordon, Georgia. The award will result in a contract using a contractor that falls into the Small Business category of HUBZone. Work includes, but is not limited to, the 16 major construction disciplines. The contractor will provide all labor, materials and equipment required to renovate Enlisted (Rolling Pin) Barracks (24 separate buildings) located at Fort Gordon, Georgia. The buildings have approximately 41,500 sq uare feet each, distributed among three floors and an 800 square foot basement, mechanical equipment room, and a crawl space clearance of four feet. All work is to be completed in strict accordance with the specifications and drawings. This is a competit ive HUBZone Small Business procurement. Competition shall be restricted to eligible HUBZone small business contractors that are certified by the date that proposals are due. All other offerors are deemed ineligible to submit offers. The North American I ndustry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 236220 and the Small Business Size Standard is $31 million. The Government intends to award one (1) Requirements Contract utilizing a fixed price for the base period with economic price ad justments based on the Engineering News Record Building Cost Index (BCI) for the option years. The period of performance will be for a base year of 12 months and two one-year option periods. The magnitude for this construction project is between $25,000,0 00.00 and $100,000,000.00. An award will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal is technically highly qualified with a fair and reasonable price. Solicitation issue date is O/A May 5, 2006, via ASFI. Schedule for the site visit will be announ ced in the solicitation. Solicitation due date will stated in the RFP.
